OTT Movies And Web Series Releasing This Week (April 7 To 13): Get ready viewers! This week is going to be a lot of fun as an exciting lineup of movies and shows is slated for release. Yes, from Tamil comedy drama movies to horror films and animated shows, a wide range of content is scheduled for streaming in the coming days. So, what are you waiting for? Curate your binge list for this week and don’t miss any of these titles on OTT. From the Tamil movie Perusu, popular horror sequel Chhorii 2 to Malayalam crime thriller Pravinkoodu Shappu, check out the list of titles releasing on Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, Sony LIV and Zee5. 

OTT Releases This Week 

Perusu (Netflix, April 11) 

The story is about two brothers who discover that their dead isn’t fully gone. When they organised a secret funeral, they came across a huge mess, which forced them to confront their strained relationship with their father. The Tamil comedy movie stars Vaibhav Reddy, Chandini Tamilarasan, Redin Kingsley, Bala Saravanan and Sunil Reddy in key roles. The film was released in theatres on March 14, 2025. 


Black Mirror Season 7 (Netflix, April 10)

The British anthology television series is back with yet another season which will offer more darker and intense storyline. The show stars Peter Capaldi, Paul Giamatti, Jimmi Simpson, Michele Austin, Harriet Walter, Rashida Jones and Tracee Ellis Ross in pivotal roles. 

Chhorii 2 (Prime Video, April 11) 

The story follows the life of a young mother who has to rescue her daughter from superstitious activities as she fights for societal malpractices. The horror movie stars Nushrratt Bharuccha, Saurabh Goyal, Soha Ali Khan, Pallavi Patil and Gashmeer Mahajani in pivotal roles. 

The Legend Of Hanuman Season 6 (JioHotstar, April 11) 

The popular animated series is back with another season this Ram Navami. The last season of the show was released in October last year. The OTT announced the news on its social media handle and wrote, "“Laaye Sanjivan Lakhan Jiyaaye”, Hanuman phir beda paar lagaye 🏔️🙏🏼 All Episodes of #TheLegendOfHanuman Season 6 streaming from 11th April only on #JioHotstar #TheLegendOfHanumanOnJioHotstar." 

Pravinkoodu Shappu (SonyLIV, April 11) 

The story focuses on a murder case that happened inside a shop, which led to a hilarious turn of events surrounding the investigation. The Malayalam movie features Basil Joseph, Chandini Sreedharan, Soubin Shahir, Shivajith Padmanabhan, Jyothika Krish and Chemban Vinod in pivotal roles. The film was released in theatres on January 16, 2025.  


Kingston (Zee5, April 13) 

The story is about a daring sea smuggler named Kingston, who ventured into the sea waters near his village, which has been cursed for years due to paranormal activity that happened in the early 80s. He tries to break the curse and bring hope to his doomed village. The Tamil horror film features GV Prakash, Divyabharathi, Sabumon Abdusamad, Elango Kumaravel and Chetan in significant roles. The movie released in theatres on March 7, 2025. 

Court State vs A Nobody (Netflix)

The story is about a lawyer who fights against corruption in the justice system while representing a teenage client. His client was wrongly presumed guilty of a serious crime. The Telugu movie stars Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Rohini Molleti, Harsha Vardhan and Subhalekha Sudhakar in key roles. The film released in theatres on March 14, 2025. 

Handmaid's Tale Season 6 (Prime Video, April 9)

The story is about a woman who is forced to live as a concubine under a fundamentalist theocratic dictatorship in a dystopian future. The show stars Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes,  Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel and Madeline Brewer in key roles.
