Malayalam movies set for OTT release in August: Several new Malayalam movies are now set for their much-anticipated OTT release. From Nadikar, starring Tovino Thomas, to Malayalam legal thriller movie Janaki V v/s State of Kerala and much-awaited Dominic And The Ladies' Purse, among others, there is something to watch for everyone on OTT. So, grab your popcorn and get ready to binge-watch some of the most-awaited Malayalam movies on ManoramaMax, Zee5, Saina Play and other streaming giants.

Nadikar

The Malayalam comedy-drama Nadikar starring Tovino Thomas, Bhavana and Soubin Shahir, is finally set to make its digital debut on Saina Play after a long delay. Initially released in theatres on May 3, 2024, the film struggled at the box office and faced uncertainty over its OTT release due to disagreements with Netflix over streaming prices.

However, Saina Play has now acquired the streaming rights and officially announced that Nadikar will be available for streaming on August 8, 2025.

Manasavacha

Manasavacha is a 2024 Malayalam comedy film helmed by debutant director Sreekumar Podiyan, featuring a star-studded cast including Dileesh Pothan, Alexander Prasanth, Kiron Kumar, Sreejith Ravi and Saikumar in pivotal roles. The movie revolves around Dharavi Dinesh and his friends, who concoct an elaborate heist plan, sparking a series of comedic events. Manasavacha is set to start streaming on ManoramaMax from August 9, 2025.

Vysanasametham Bandhumithradhikal

Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal is a 2025 Indian Malayalam-language comedy film written and directed by S. Vipin. The movie features Anaswara Rajan, Siju Sunny and Joemon Jyothir in lead roles, with supporting performances from Baiju Santhosh, Azees Nedumangad, Mallika Sukumaran and Noby Marcose. The story revolves around Anjali, played by Anaswara Rajan and her complicated life as she navigates family pressures, personal choices and grief after her grandmother's passing. Vysanasametham Bandhumithradhikal will stream on ManoramaMAX from August 14, 2025.

Janaki V v/s State of Kerala

J.S.K – Janaki V v/s State of Kerala is a 2025 Indian Malayalam-language legal thriller film that brings to life a gripping courtroom drama. Written and directed by Pravin Narayanan, the film boasts an impressive cast, including Suresh Gopi as a powerful lawyer and Anupama Parameswaran as Janaki, a strong woman who confronts an unjust system. The movie will be streaming on ZEE5 from August 15, 2025.

Dominic and the Ladies' Purse

The Malayalam mystery-comedy film Dominic and the Ladies' Purse is expected to make its OTT debut soon, with speculations pointing towards Amazon Prime Video as the streaming platform. According to a tweet by film tracker Franil Francis, the movie might start streaming on Prime Video on August 28, with Sony LIV also being considered as a possible additional platform. However, the filmmakers haven't officially confirmed these details yet.

Vasanthi

The Malayalam film Vasanthi is set to stream on ManoramaMax soon, after the platform secured its digital rights. Written and directed by Shinos Rahman and Sajas Rahman, the movie features Swasika in the lead role alongside Siju Wilson, Shabareesh Varma and others. The film revolves around Vasanthi's life journey, depicting her struggles and memories of the men she encountered after leaving her mother's house. Vasanthi expected to start streaming on Manorama Max this month.
