Television actress Dipika Kakar has successfully undergone a medical procedure for a stomach cyst that was recently discovered. Her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, posted the news on Instagram and YouTube. He stated that the surgery was successful and that Dipika is in the hospital recovering. Shoaib Ibrahim thanked everyone for their prayers and said that Dipika is thode pain me hai (in a little pain), but there is nothing serious to worry about.
What Led To Dipika Kakar’s Surgery?

Dipika has recently been experiencing discomfort in her stomach and shoulder pain, which prompted the doctors to conduct some medical tests. A CT scan revealed that she has a 13mm or 1.3 cm cyst in her stomach. What is quite interesting to note is that the cyst was not present in her PET scan in December, but it is now visible in the latest results. Since the cyst was discovered early, the doctors opted for a minimally invasive procedure to prevent any complications in the future.
Treatment And Recovery
Earlier, Shoaib had also clarified that the cyst would be treated by “burning” it, which meant that there would be no major surgery required. The treatment is also expected to require three to four days of hospitalisation.
In his vlog, Shoaib has also stated that Dipika is experiencing a little more pain than she did in her last surgery, but is otherwise fine. He also stated that apart from the cyst, all her other reports are normal, which was a huge relief for the family.
Dipika’s Health Journey
Dipika has already displayed incredible strength in her fight against liver cancer. In 2025, she underwent a very complicated 14-hour surgery to have a tumour removed. Despite having many health issues, she still manages to remain positive.
The couple, who tied the knot in February 2018, have a three-year-old son named Ruhaan. Dipika also urges everyone to take care of their health and not disregard even the slightest symptoms.
