Aloke Singh, managing director of Air India Express, emphasised the airline's expansion goals while highlighting the airline's strategic drive into Southeast Asia.
“We are connecting non-metro cities in India to international destinations, as well as enhancing connectivity between Indian metros, in a bid to promote economic growth and tourism,” Singh said.
Following its merger with AIX Connect, Air India Express has continued to expand, adding additional routes to Bangkok, Dimapur, and Patna. The airline will now serve 51 cities across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia as a result of this expansion, meeting the rising demand for both local and international travel.
At the moment, Air India Express flies more than 400 flights every day and has a fleet of 90 aircraft. The airline's most recent development plan is completely in line with Air India Express's long-term expansion objectives, which include growing its presence in both domestic and foreign aviation markets.
