Ahead of the much anticipated Prana Pratishtha ceremony on January 22 at Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Ram Lalla’s idol was brought inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple yesterday evening. A special pooja was held before the idol was brought inside with the help of a crane. As per reports, the idol will be installed today for its consecration ceremony on Jan 22. 

The captivating idol was created by Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj. Yogiraj's creation of the statue of Ram Lalla was officially chosen by the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust for installation. Arun's family members celebrated the announcement at their ancestral home in Mysuru. Arun dedicated the last six months to sculpting Lord Ram's idol for the Ayodhya Temple.

Champat Rai, the general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said Ram temple will be opened for 'darshan' to the general public from January 23.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other political, and religious dignitaries will be attending the Ram Mandir Inauguration ceremony. The famed Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala will present 'Onavillu', a traditional ceremonial bow, to the Lord Ram Temple in Ayodhya to mark the occasion of its consecration on January 22. 

A silver idol of Ram Lalla toured the temple premises on Wednesday evening as a part of Day 2 rituals. The idol, placed in a flower palanquin was garlanded with roses and marigolds. The temple priests carried the idol around the premises. It was a replica of the idol which would be placed inside the temple. 

Union Minister Som Prakash said four special trains will run from Punjab for devotees who want to visit Ayodhya, PTI reported. Parkash said two trains will be from Pathankot and one each from Chandigarh and Nangal Dam.

Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairperson Nripendra Mishra said the auspicious time for the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the temple in Ayodhya is 12.30 pm on January 22.
