Witnesses say Krishnappa, from Bagepalli, had been waiting for his wife with two newly purchased knives. Krishnappa and Sharada had been married for 17 years and had two children, a 15-year-old son and a 12-year-old daughter. The couple had lived apart for the past four years due to ongoing disputes over Krishnappa’s suspicions regarding Sharada’s fidelity. While their son lived with Krishnappa, their daughter resided with Sharada.

According to police, Krishnappa had meticulously planned the murder. He arrived in Bengaluru earlier that day, knowing Sharada’s work schedule. He waited for hours before attacking her as she walked home. “He was aware of her routine and targeted her at the right moment,” an officer stated.
