Bengaluru Shocker: An engineering student was allegedly dragged by her junior into the men's washroom of a private college in Bengaluru and raped. The accused is a 21 year-old-old student, currently in the fifth-semester.
The victim is a seventh semester student at the same college. Both students knew each other, police said as per news agency PTI.
The accused has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.

As per the woman’s complaint, the assault happened on October 10.
The accused approached the girl during lunch break and asked to meet him near the architecture block on the seventh floor. When the woman went to meet, he forced a kiss on her. The woman tried to escape but the accused followed her to the sixth floor. He then dragged her into the men's washroom, locked the door, and raped her.
The accused snatched the woman’s phone when one of her friends tried to contact her.
After the assault, the woman narrated the incident to her friend who asked her to report the matter to her parents. As per the complaint, the accused approached the woman again and asked if she needed a pill.
A complaint was filed at the Hanumanthanagar police station on October 15. The case has been registered under Section 64 (rape) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, police said.
