Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Bengaluru is set to experience heavy traffic on March 31, as thousands gather for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers across the city. In anticipation of the large crowd, Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced temporary road restrictions, particularly around Gurappanapalya on Bannerghatta Road, to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Bengaluru Traffic Restrictions & Alternative Routes

To manage congestion, vehicle movement will be temporarily prohibited on key routes, including:

- Sagar Hospital Junction to Gurappanapalya Junction on BG Road

- Sai Ram Junction to Gurappanapalya Junction

- 39th Cross Road–Reddy Hospital Junction to Gurappanapalya Junction

Suggested Alternative Routes:

1. For vehicles from Dairy Circle towards BG Road:

- Take a right at Swagath Junction, then a left towards East End Junction.

- Turn left at Jayadeva U-turn Junction, then take a U-turn at Jayadeva Junction.

- Continue via Jayadeva Service Road to Sai Ram Junction to rejoin BG Road.

2. For vehicles from Jedi Mara Junction towards BG Road:

- Take a left at Sai Ram Junction towards Jayadeva Junction.

- Turn left onto Outer Ring Road and proceed to Swagath Junction.

- Rejoin BG Road via Sagar Hospital Junction.

Major Eid Gatherings in Bengaluru

The Eid-ul-Fitr prayers are scheduled for 10 AM on March 31 at the Hazrath Sir-Khazi Syed Shah Mohammed Abdul Khuddus Khadri Sahib Eidgah, as per the Jumma Masjid Trust Board. However, the final confirmation will depend on moon sighting.

Additionally, Bengaluru’s largest Eid gathering is expected at Millers Road Mosque, where over 1 lakh people are anticipated.

Authorities urge commuters to plan their travel in advance, follow alternative routes, and cooperate with traffic regulations to avoid inconvenience.
