Bihar Weather Today: The weather in Bihar has changed amid the active western disturbance in North India, the cyclonic circulation formed over Gangetic West Bengal and the low pressure area in Eastern India. According to the India Meteorological Department's Bihar Weather Forecast, this weather system will cause the state's weather to remain unpredictable until Wednesday. Most parts of the state will remain cloudy, with a warning of thunderstorms and rain.
During the next 24 hours, a yellow alert has been issued for thunder and lightning along with wind speed of 30-40 kmph in Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sheikhpura, Samastipur, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Kishanganj and Araria districts of the eastern parts.
Scattered rainfall is expected at some locations. No significant change in maximum and minimum temperatures is expected over the next five days. On Monday, the weather remained dry with partly cloudy skies in Patna and surrounding areas.
With the change in weather, maximum temperatures dropped in 16 districts, including Patna. The capital's maximum temperature dropped by 1.4 degrees Celsius in 24 hours to 31.5 degrees Celsius, while Kaimur recorded the highest temperature at 34.3 degrees Celsius.
The capital recorded the highest minimum temperature of 23.7 degrees Celsius this season, while Sabour in Bhagalpur recorded a low of 19.0 degrees Celsius.
The state's changing weather is favourable for crop and fruit cultivation. Ruby, an agricultural scientist at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour cited by jagran.com said that mango and litchi blossoms have formed sufficiently. Therefore, the humidity in the weather is beneficial for these crops. This will reduce the infestation of the honey bee insect.
However, if the effects of hailstorms and strong winds persist, there is a risk of bud damage. Farmers need to exercise caution in this situation. Wheat is in the grain-filling stage. Therefore, light rainfall will be beneficial for the crop.
However, if the storm and rain continue, it will cause crop damage. Furthermore, if temperatures rise significantly, it could impact both public life and crops.
Favourable weather conditions are essential for mango, litchi, and other crops. As temperatures rise, humidity decreases and intense sunlight increases the risk of flower drop. Pest and disease infestations can also increase.
