Calcutta High Court on Thursday directed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to submit a report comprising property details of Trinamool Congress (TMC) national general secretary and party's Lok sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee to the court within the next seven days.
The single-judge bench of Justice Amrita Singh has directed the central investigation agency to submit the report by September 21. It has also directed the ED to submit property details of other directors of a corporate entity, whose name has recently surfaced during an ED probe into the multi-crore school job scam case in West Bengal.

The court also directed ED to furnish the names of Tollywood actors and actresses whose names have surfaced in the teacher recruitment scam. It has also asked for the details of their properties.
The bench has also sought property details of Sujay Krishna Bhadra, a prime accused in the case, who is currently in judicial custody. Bhadra has been identified as an important functionary of the said corporate entity linked with the school job scam.
The court's orders came after Banerjee was questioned by the ED in connection to the case on Wednesday for over nine hours. After the questioning, in a statement, the TMC leader said that he challenged the ED to prove the corruption charges leveled against him.
