Delhi News: A 20-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by a man in Delhi’s Nand Nagari area on Monday after he reportedly attacked her out of one-sided love. The accused, identified as Akash, later confessed to the crime in front of the victim’s family before surrendering to the police.

According to officials, the incident took place around 10:30 AM when the victim, Riya, stepped out of her home to buy groceries. Akash allegedly blocked her path on the street and stabbed her multiple times when she resisted his advances, leaving her severely injured. She died on the spot.

Soon after the attack, Akash went straight to Riya’s home and told her family, “Jaao Apni beti ko dekh lo, maine uski hatya kar di (Go see your daughter, I have killed her.)” He then walked to the Nand Nagari police station and surrendered himself.

Police said preliminary investigation suggests that the murder was pre-planned. The night before the crime, Akash had posted an Instagram story showing a knife, which now appears to have been a hint of his intention.
