Noida Airport Update: The Delhi-Varanasi high-speed rail corridor will feature a station at the Noida International Airport, with the National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRC) approving its inclusion in the Detailed Project Report (DPR). The station will be located underground in the Ground Transportation Centre (GTC) of the airport.
Noida Airport High Speed Rail Corridor Station Details
- The high-speed rail corridor will be built along the Yamuna Expressway's central verge, with the section within the airport premises being underground.
- The project aims to enhance connectivity between Noida International Airport and major cities like Delhi, Mathura, Agra, Etawah, Lucknow, and Ayodhya.
- The Delhi-Varanasi high-speed rail corridor will be approximately 800 km long, with a LiDAR survey already completed.
The Rail Corridor Will Reduce Travel Time From Delhi To Noida
- Travel time between Delhi and Noida International Airport is expected to be significantly reduced, with estimates suggesting a journey time of just 21 minutes.
- The station will provide seamless connectivity for passengers and cargo, boosting the region's economic growth.
Additional Rail Corridor
The North Central Railway is also working on a new rail corridor between Rundi and Chola stations, which will connect the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah rail routes. This corridor will pass through the eastern boundary of the Noida International Airport and feature a station for the airport, further enhancing its rail connectivity.

The NHSRC, Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), and Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) have held multiple rounds of discussions to finalise the project details. The DPR is being prepared, and the project is expected to boost the region's transportation infrastructure.
