A dashcam video of a road rage incident in Gurugram has surfaced online, sparking concerns over the flouting of traffic rules in the cyber city.

The video shows a Scorpio car, decorated with flowers, coming from the wrong side, disrupting the movement of another car. What ensued was a verbal spat with the occupants of the Scorpio seen threatening the car driver.

The video has been shared online by a user named Samarth Mathur, who said, "Conveniently driving on the wrong side, halting the entire traffic. Approaching others, ready to kill. How are common people supposed to protect themselves against this gundagardi?"

In the viral video, the driver of the Scorpio car could be seen heading in the wrong direction. When Samarth honked, the driver and one other person came out of the car and asked him to steer right in a seemingly aggressive way. The driver could be heard saying, "Kehraha hu nikal ja (I've been telling you to pass by)."

Reacting to his X post, Gurugram Police asked him to share the details, to which he replied that the incident took place at around 200 meters before AIPL Joy Street (Main Gujjar Road, Sec-66).

"This happened ~200 meters before AIPL Joy Street (Main Gujjar Road, Sec-66). I'm not comfortable sharing my contact details. But considering you have enough details, would request for some strict action to be taken for an example to be set," Samarth added.

To this, the Gurugram Police insisted on sharing contact details, but Samarth denied, saying, "I don't understand why the contact details are needed. Is there not enough proof in this video itself of the unsafe driving, intimidation, harassment, public nuisance? Section 184 Motor Vehicles Act, Section 503,504, 506 IPC/ Sec 351-362 BNS."
