Hyderabad Traffic Today: Due to the Grand Bathukamma celebrations scheduled for Monday, September 29 at Saroornagar Indoor Stadium, the traffic police have issued an advisory. Heavy traffic is expected in the area near the stadium between 3 PM and 9 PM, and motorists have been advised to use alternate routes.

More than 10,000 women are expected to assemble in the stadium in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record on the occasion, the Telangana Today reported.

Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: Check Diversions, Alternate Routes

  • Vehicles from Dilsukhnagar heading for LB Nagar have been diverted towards Nagole via the Omni ‘X’ Road. 

  • Traffic moving from Chintalakunta to Dilsukhnagar will be diverted at Chintalakunta Roads and redirected via Sagar and Karmanghat.

  • To maintain the overcrowding of vehicles, special parking has been arranged at NTR Nagar Agriculture Market, Chitra Layout, RR District Court Complex, Bajaj Godown (Series Road), and Dilsukhnagar main road.

  • RTC buses have been rerouted due to the event. Inter-district services from Secunderabad to MGBS will go via Sweekar-Upakar Junction, Tarnaka, Barkatpura, and Chaderghat. City buses from Karbala Maidan will be diverted through Bible House, Jabbar Complex, Kawadiguda, Gandhinagar, and Indira Park.

  • Motorists have been specially advised to avoid prime traffic hotspots of Khairatabad, Iqbal Minar, Liberty, Ravindra Bharati, Necklace Rotary, Tank Bund, Ranigunj and Nallagutta.

  • Vehicles moving from the Telugu Talli junction, Karbala Maidan, Liberty, Secunderabad, Musheerabad, and other nearby routes will either be stopped or diverted to alternative routes like the Indira Park Gandhinagar, RTC X roads, Prasad’s IMAX, Mint Compound Lane, Kawadiguda, and Bandamaisamma.
