KB Ganesh Kumar (60), who is currently the Kerala Transport Minister, could be forced to leave his post just before the State Assembly elections. The development comes after Kumar’s wife accused him of infidelity, putting the government led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in a spot.

According to local media reports, Vijayan may demand the Kerala Congress (B) leader’s resignation in order to tackle criticism from the opposition United Democratic Front, which is led by Congress.

What Did Ganesh Kumar’s Wife Say?

Bindhu Menon, the wife of Ganesh Kumar, has alleged that she found the minister with another woman in a compromising situation at their residence. She further claimed that she informed Veena Vijayan, the daughter of CM, about the incident.

As per Menon, the two married in 2014 and the marital problems had been continuing for several years. Menon further claimed that tried to take pictures as proof after she caught Kumar with a woman in their bedroom.

"I lost control emotionally, but I did not assault anyone or use abusive language," she said, adding that Kumar's staff made attempts to snatch her phone. She further claimed that Kerala Police did not cooperate with her and refused to intervene in the dispute.

Kerala Minister’s Response To Allegations

Amid the controversy, Kumar asserted that the allegations were a private matter and insisted that “love is not a crime” while denying ever behaving indecently with any woman.

"Whether the allegations are true or not, they are personal matters, and no one else should interfere," he said, adding that he has never behaved indecently with any woman. "Love is not a crime. Everyone experiences love. It will continue," the Kerala minister said.
