Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday addressed the Seva Jyoti Yatra-Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha and spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in public life. He described it as a journey from the village to the global stage and from public service to national service.
Addressing the gathering at Patel Park in Hazratganj, Lucknow, CM Yogi said a grassroots worker from a small village in Gujarat had given India a new identity on the global stage. He said. CM Yogi called on people to take forward the resolve of building a developed India by 2047.
From Gujarat CM To Prime Minister
CM Yogi said PM Modi took the oath as Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001. Gujarat was facing a severe crisis at the time, while anti-social and anti-national elements were trying to create instability.

He said PM Modi took charge under difficult circumstances and went on to establish Gujarat as a model state. During his 12 years as Prime Minister, PM Modi had further strengthened India's position as a capable and powerful nation, he said.
A Journey Of Change For Every Section
CM Yogi said PM Modi's 25-year journey was also about providing security to women, improving the lives of farmers and creating more employment opportunities for the youth.
He said India was counted among the 'Fragile Five' economies 12 years ago, while the country is now among the world's top five economies. India had only a few thousand startups at the time, compared with more than 2.5 lakh today, he said.
The Chief Minister said the government's employment initiatives were creating opportunities for jobs, employment and self-employment for young people.
Connectivity Has Changed India's Landscape
CM Yogi highlighted the electrification of railway lines, expansion of broad-gauge networks and the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors. He said the railway network was expanding with world-class services through Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat and Namo Bharat trains. The number of airports has also increased, while highways and expressways have expanded across the country.
From Semiconductors To Defence, India Moving Towards Self-Reliance
CM Yogi said India was once dependent on other countries even for a single chip. Today, more than 12 major semiconductor projects are either operational or attracting significant investment in the country, he said, adding that India is moving towards self-reliance in chip manufacturing and exports.
He also highlighted the growth of India’s defence sector, saying the country is now exporting defence products worth thousands of crores of rupees to other nations. CM Yogi said the number of AIIMS institutions had increased from six to 23. Opportunities have also grown in areas such as IITs, IIMs and emerging technologies, he added.
'One District One Mafia' To 'One District One Medical College'
CM Yogi said Uttar Pradesh was once plagued by the 'One District One Mafia' model, where criminal elements created a parallel system of power. He said the state is now identified with initiatives such as 'One District One Medical College', 'One District One Product' and 'One District One Cuisine'. The government is also working to turn skilled artisans and craftsmen into entrepreneurs, he said.

Referring to Digital India and Jan Dhan accounts, CM Yogi said the schemes had once been mocked by their critics. He said the direct benefit transfer system now ensures that money sent from Delhi and Lucknow reaches the bank accounts of the poor, women, farmers, youth and workers directly. He also highlighted the provision of free ration to 80 crore people and free LPG connections.
Workers To Take 'Seva Jyoti' To Assembly Constituencies
CM Yogi urged party workers to take the Seva Jyoti campaign to their respective Assembly constituencies. He said the aim was to take the story of PM Modi's 25-year journey from public service to national service to the people and connect them with the vision of a developed India. The campaign will focus on achieving the goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, he said.

PM Modi Has Transformed The Country: Brajesh Pathak
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said PM Modi had completed 25 years of continuous public service and had transformed the country during this period. He said people from every section of society were working towards the goal of a developed India.
Pathak added that under CM Yogi's leadership and PM Modi's guidance, Uttar Pradesh had made progress in water supply, electricity, schools, hospitals, universities, infrastructure and law and order.
