- Pune train route changes on October 11 due to rail work.
- Central Railway announced disruptions on Pune-Hadapsar section.
- Passengers advised to check status for short-terminated services.
Passengers travelling on select trains to and from Pune on October 11 may face disruptions as Central Railway has announced changes to the operation of several services due to infrastructure work on the Pune-Hadapsar section.
According to an advisory issued by the Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Central Railway, some trains will be short-terminated, while others will be short-originated on the affected day. As a result, these services will not operate over their full scheduled routes.
Under the revised arrangements, a short-terminated train will end its journey at a station before its scheduled destination. A short-originated service, meanwhile, will begin from a station other than its usual originating point.

The decision comes as Central Railway is carrying out major infrastructure improvement work in the Pune railway division, including engineering, signalling, telecommunications and overhead equipment on the Pune-Hadapsar section.
The ongoing work also covers the Pune-Hadapsar-Ghorpadi stretch and is linked to the development and commissioning of a third railway line between Hadapsar and Ghorpadi.
The infrastructure block is expected to affect train operations temporarily, with the railway making changes to services depending on the work requirements. Such blocks can involve short termination or origination as well as cancellations, diversions, rescheduling and regulation of trains.

For passengers booked onto the impacted services, this could involve travelling to a different station to catch the train or organising further travel after arriving at a new terminating station.
Railway travellers for October 11 have been asked to cross-check the running status and revised schedule before leaving for the station. The operational changes are temporary and apply to the services covered by the Mumbai Central Railway advisory.
