A motorcyclist and his pillion rider sustained minor injuries after a Mahindra Thar Roxx allegedly struck their bike on the Dwarka Expressway on Saturday night and fled the scene. The incident occurred after 8 pm and was captured on the dashcam of a car travelling behind the SUV.
The footage showed the Thar Roxx moving from the left-side service lane and attempting to cut across multiple lanes of traffic. The SUV then moved into a narrow gap between a car ahead and the motorcycle. Instead of slowing down or stopping, the driver continued through the space and hit the bike.

The move sent both riders onto the road. They were wearing helmets at the time and escaped with minor injuries, according to an NDTV report. The SUV did not stop after the collision and continued driving.
The vehicle was identified by its registration number, HR16AG5200. Details available on the eChallan Parivahan portal show that the diesel SUV has an outstanding Rs 5,000 penalty for dangerous driving and jumping a red light. The challan was issued on August 3.
Just a few days back, a violent clash occurred outside the Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (IILM) University in Gurugram, leaving a third-year BA Psychology student severely injured. The victim was initially struck by a Mahindra Thar SUV before being further assaulted by the occupants. The assailants fled the scene shortly after, and an official complaint has been lodged at the Sector 53 Police Station.

In another incident, a 40-year-old man was killed and his wife suffered 18 fractures after their scooter collided with a speeding Thar near the Itaida roundabout in Greater Noida. The woman remains in a coma, while the accused driver, who allegedly fled the scene after the crash, is yet to be traced.
