Patna Traffic Advisory: Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony at Gandhi Maidan and the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, May 7, authorities have implemented special traffic arrangements.
According to the official advisory, the movement of general vehicles will be strictly prohibited on all main roads from 8 AM to 3 PM, with route diversions in place to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. Emergency vehicles, such as ambulances and hearses, as well as guests and official pass holders, are exempt from the diversions.
The Patna Traffic Police have urged commuters to plan their journey in advance and use alternative routes. Passengers travelling to the airport are advised to use Jagdev Path and arrive at their destination three hours before their flights take off to avoid inconvenience.
Patna Traffic Advisory: Restrictions On THESE Routes
- There will be a ban on the movement of all types of vehicles from Dumra TOP (Sheikhpura Mor) towards the airport.
- There will be a ban on the movement of vehicles from Airport Roundabout to Purba Patel Roundabout.
- There will be a ban on the movement of all types of vehicles from Rajendra Chowk towards Patel Golambar.
- There will be a ban on the movement of vehicles north from the Chitkohra roundabout.
- There will be a ban on the movement of all types of vehicles north of the Gardanibagh ROB R Block ROB.
- There will be a ban on the movement of all types of vehicles from the top of the GPO roundabout towards the west.
- There will be a ban on the movement of all types of vehicles on both flanks east of Bailey Boring Road crossing on Nehru Path and from Kidwaipuri towards Income Tax Golambar.
- There will be a ban on the movement of all types of vehicles on R Block Below/Daroga Rai Path to Veerchand Patel Path and Adalatganj Eastern End to Veerchand Patel Path.
- Movement will be restricted from Income Tax Roundabout to Dak Bungalow, Swaminandan Tiraha, JP Golambar, Ramgulam Chowk, Bakarganj, Kargil Chowk, and Children's Park.
- No vehicle will be allowed to go from Bhattacharya Square towards North Gandhi Maidan.
- There will be a ban on the movement of all types of vehicles from Patna Junction towards Dak Bungalow.
- There will be a ban on the movement of all types of vehicles on Buddha Marg from GPO top/bottom towards Kotwali and from Police Line Tiraha towards Kotwali.
- Vehicles will be strictly prohibited from entering SP Verma Road from New Dak Bungalow.
- Vehicles will be strictly prohibited from moving from the Police Line Tiraha towards Gandhi Maidan.
- Movement of vehicles will be restricted on Chhajjubag TN Banerjee Path east of Buddha Marg.
- The movement of vehicles going to and from Bank Road from the new police station gate no. 1 will be restricted.
- Movement of vehicles from Ramgulam Chowk towards JP Golambar, west, will be completely banned.
- No vehicles of any kind will be allowed to operate from Thakurbari Mod/Bakarganj Mod towards West Gandhi Maidan.

Route For Emergency Vehicles
The route between JP Golambar and Children's Park will be kept clear. In case of an emergency, this route will provide access to Tara Hospital, PMCH, and other nearby medical facilities, Jagran.com reported.
Parking Restrictions
Parking of any type of vehicle/cart/stall is strictly prohibited on the route from JP Golambar to Dakbangla Square and from Dakbangla Square to Patna Junction Golambar, on the road from Ramgulam Chowk to South Exhibition Road, from the District Magistrate's residence (Children Park) to Police Line Tiraha, and on all four roads outside Gandhi Maidan.
Similarly, entry of any type of vehicle/cart/stall is prohibited inside Gandhi Maidan.
Entry And Parking Arrangements For Guests
Ministers and other dais pass holders are advised to enter the swearing-in ceremony through Gandhi Maidan Gate No. 12 and park at the designated site. VIPs arriving at least one hour before the event should use Gate No. 4, where they will be parked in the vacant area inside the gate.
If the parking area is full, alternative parking will be provided at the Gyan Bhawan, AN Sinha Institute, and Magadh Mahila College parking complexes. Attendees arriving from Krishnaghat and Ashoka Rajpath will be admitted through Gates No. 7, 8, 9, and 10, while media personnel are advised to enter through Gate No. 11.
