Pawan Kalyan Stone Pelting Incident: A stone was pelted at Jana Sena supremo Pawan Kalyan during an election rally in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district on Sunday, news agency IANS reported. The actor-turned-politician, however, managed to escape unhurt as the stone reportedly landed at a distance from him. The incident took place in Tenali city. The person who allegedly hurled the stone was handed over to the police by Jana Sena workers.

Notably, the incident came a day after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister was injured in a similar stone-pelting incident during a rally in Vijayawada district. As a result of the incident, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who also leades the YSRCP, sustained an injury over his left eyebrow. The apparent attack was blamed on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which is the largest Opposition party in the state, by Vijayawada YSRCP leaders, IANS said in a report.

The incident reportedly took place when the chief minister was waving at supporters from onboard a special campaign bus as part of YSRCP's 'Memantha Siddham Yatra'. After Jagan Mohan Reddy was hit by the stone, doctors from his team immediately provided him with first aid, IANS said in its report.

YSRCP MLA Vellampalli, who was standing next to Jagan Mohan Reddy, also sustained an injury on his left eye. The incident took place at Singh Nagar Dhaba Kotla Centre. The two aforementioned incidents preceded the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, which will be held simultaneously in Andhra Pradesh. The Jana Sena has entered into an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the TDP for the forthcoming polls.
