Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate several development projects in Ayodhya on December 30. During his visit to Ayodhya, PM Modi will inaugurate projects worth Rs 15,700 which includes Ayodhya Airport and Ayodhya Dham Railway Station. He will also flag off two Amrit Bharat and eight Vande Bharat trains that will connect Ayodhya with different regions of the country.   

The project is a part of the Centre’s vision to transform Ayodhya into a modern city while preserving its historical and cultural heritage. According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), PM Modi aims to enhance the infrastructure, connectivity and civic amenities of Ayodhya, which is expected to attract thousands of devotees across the globe after the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple.

Projects To Be Inaugurated By PM Modi In Ayodhya On December 30

  • PM Modi will inaugurate Ayodhya Airport, which will be named after Maharishi Valmiki.

  • Three railway projects worth Rs 2300 crore, including the Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi third line project, the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project and the Malhaur-Daliganj railway section doubling/electrification project.

  • The development and enhancement of tourist facilities from Naya Ghat to Laxman Ghat such as a visitor gallery for Deepotsav and the renovation of the pilgrim path from Ram Ki Paidi to Raj Ghat and Raj Ghat to Ram Temple.

  • A greenfield township worth over Rs 2180 crore and the Vashishtha Kunj Residential Scheme worth around Rs 300 crore.

  • The foundation stone for various infrastructure projects, such as the Lucknow-Ayodhya section of NH-28 (new NH-27), the modification of the existing Ayodhya bypass, the setting up of the CIPET centre and the construction of offices for the Municipal Corporation Ayodhya and Ayodhya Development Authority.

  • On December 30, a new semi-high-speed train, Amrit Bharat, will also be introduced. Amrit Bharat trains are a new class of passenger trains with LHB push-pull technology and non-air-conditioned coaches. They offer improved features such as better seat layouts, luggage racks, mobile charging outlets, LED lighting, CCTV, and a public information system.
