- Three suspects arrested for Moga Sadar police station grenade attack.

The Moga Police have made a breakthrough in the grenade attack on the Sadar police station in Punjab, with the arrest of three suspects allegedly involved in the incident. The accused were taken into custody from Mata Vaishno Devi and later brought to Moga, where they underwent medical examinations at the Civil Hospital on Sunday.
As per the officials, the accused were identified as Rajesh Kumar, Shubham and Gagan. All the accused hail from Ferozepur. All three accused are under interrogation to expose the full conspiracy, their accomplices, and to nab the alleged brain behind the plot operating from abroad.
Clues Found From CCTV Footage
On the night of July 8, the attackers riding on bikes threw a grenade at the Sadar police station on the Moga-Ferozepur road. While the grenade was of low intensity and did not pose any threat to the police station building, no one was injured. The police took the incident seriously from a security perspective, and special teams were formed to inquire into it.
The police obtained video footage of the area where the attack occurred as well as from its surrounding region, along with information relating to the suspect. Along with pursuing evidence, the technical analysis aided them in tracing the accused and arresting them.
Investigation Underway To Uncover Larger Network
Police said that during the interrogation of the arrested suspects, they are investigating who provided them with weapons and explosives, where the attack was planned, and whether a larger criminal network was involved.
Investigating agencies are also probing possible links with gangsters based abroad.
According to officials, the accused will be produced before a court and police will seek their custody to uncover the entire network behind the attack. Police said the investigation is still underway and further revelations are expected in the coming days based on the interrogation.
