Student Leader Dileep Kumar Hospitalised After His Health Deteriorates At BPSC TRE-4 Protest Site In Patna; Satyagraha On

Jagran Correspondent, Patna | Student leader Dileep Kumar's health deteriorated on Saturday amid the ongoing 'Satyagraha for Justice' protest at the Gardanibagh protest site, Patna, demanding an increase in the number of TRE-4 posts, the implementation of a single exam, and the elimination of negative marking. Dileep, who was sitting with the protesting students, was admitted to Gardanibagh Hospital after experiencing throat problems.

According to student leader Deepak Pandey, Dileep began coughing and then vomiting in the evening while raising slogans in support of the students. He was initially examined by a doctor present at the protest site. When his condition worsened, he was taken to the hospital on a stretcher.

During initial checkups at the hospital, Dileep's blood pressure and sugar levels were found to be low. He was administered two saline injections under the supervision of doctors. His treatment was underway till evening. The protesting students wished him a speedy recovery.

Students Continue Their Protest On Day 5

Despite Dileep's deteriorating health, the agitation continued in Patna. On the fifth day of the protest, a large number of male and female candidates remained at the strike site. The students vowed to continue their protest until their demands were met.

What Are The Key Demands?

Pandey said no injustice to the students would be tolerated. The protesters' demands include removing the contract weightage from the BSSC, announcing exam dates, and conducting the LET and BET. Along with releasing the date of the BPSC AEDO exam, the students also raised the demand for transparency in other recruitment exams, including sub-inspector and constable. The protesters also demanded an end to the alleged discrimination against Hindi speakers and said that all candidates should get equal opportunities.

Pandey stated that the protesters would not leave the protest site until the students received justice. Several students, including Sahabaj Alam, Raviranjan, Mukesh, Santosh, Kalyani, Priyanka, Neha Parveen, Roshni, Meetu, and Neelam, were present at the protest.
