TCS Nashik Case: The investigation into the allegations of sexual harassment and forced religious conversion at the BPO unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Maharashtra's Nashik has intensified. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has formed three teams to track down Nida Khan, a key accused in the Nashik TCS case.

Khan, an employee at the firm, is named as a co-accused in the first of nine cases involving sexual harassment and religious conversion registered by the Nashik Police.

Husband Taken Into Custody For Questioning

In a major breakthrough, a team from the Nashik Crime Branch Unit 1 tracked down and detained Nida Khan's husband at his office in Mumbra. Investigators took him into custody to determine her current whereabouts and gather more information regarding the case, according to Jagran.com.

During the interrogation, the husband revealed that the couple, originally from Nashik, had recently moved to Mumbai after he secured a job at a private company in Mumbra. They had been living in a rented apartment in Amrut Nagar since February this year. Following this, Khan reportedly travelled to and from her offices in Malad and Hiranandani.

The husband also revealed that a relative had taken Nida back to Nashik a few days ago. However, when police reached the location, they found the premises locked, the report added.

Nida Khan To File Anticipatory Bail

According to a report by Times of India (TOI), Nida Khan is preparing to file an anticipatory bail application in the Nashik Sessions Court, citing her pregnancy as a primary ground for legal relief.

"We are finalising the anticipatory bail application and related documents in consultation with our client's father. Her father is in Nashik for this purpose," Nida's lawyer, Baba Syed, was quoted as saying.

"According to the FIR, the case against our client is related to hurting religious sentiments. Seeking anticipatory bail is our client's constitutional right. Our client is currently in the early stages of pregnancy, so this is another reason why she is seeking anticipatory bail. We will file an application in the Nashik Sessions Court within a day or two," he added.
