UP Weather: Several states, including Uttar Pradesh, are currently experiencing monsoon activity, with heavy rainfall reported in multiple areas. However, despite the rainfall, several regions in the state are still facing humid and hot conditions. The Meteorological Department has forecast more rain in the coming days, along with warnings of thunderstorms, strong winds, and lightning.
According to the department, both eastern and western Uttar Pradesh are likely to receive significant rainfall over the next week. Weather officials have also issued storm alerts for several districts. The changing weather conditions are expected to gradually bring relief from the ongoing heat.
Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR witnessed a sudden change in weather on Sunday, as rainfall occurred across several parts of the region. Moderate showers brought much-needed relief from the humid conditions in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, and Ghaziabad.
Hourly forecasts suggest the possibility of strong thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours.
Heavy Rain Forecast for Uttar Pradesh: Check IMD Update
The Meteorological Department has issued a rainfall alert for several parts of Uttar Pradesh over the coming days, with the possibility of moderate to heavy showers in many areas.
In Eastern Uttar Pradesh, light rainfall is expected between July 5 and 7. From July 8 to 11, the region is likely to receive heavier rainfall, which may help ease the intense heat conditions.
In Western Uttar Pradesh, scattered showers are expected from July 5 to 8. Between July 9 and 11, rainfall activity is likely to intensify as the monsoon strengthens, leading to the possibility of heavy rain in several areas.
Thunderstorm and Lightning Alert
The Meteorological Department has also warned of thunderstorms and lightning across Uttar Pradesh on July 5. From July 6 to 8, both eastern and western parts of the state may experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning strikes and gusty winds.
