Rajasthan Vande Bharat Update: In a major boost to rail connectivity in Rajasthan, Indian Railways is set to roll out two new Vande Bharat Express trains next week, linking Jodhpur and Bikaner with Delhi Cantt. The new semi-high-speed trains are expected to reduce travel time by over an hour on these busy routes.
The first Vande Bharat Express train between Ajmer and Delhi Cantt was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 12, 2023. The Ajmer-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express will significantly reduce travel time between the two cities, offering a faster and more efficient travel option for passengers, The Indian Express reported.
Rajasthan New Vande Bharat Trains Update
- Indian Railways is set to introduce two new Vande Bharat trains linking key Rajasthan cities of Bikaner and Jodhpur with the national capital.
- The two new Vande Bharat trains will run on the Bikaner-Delhi and Jodhpur-Delhi routes.
- The two new Vande Bharat trains are expected to be launched next week. The Northern Western Railway will maintain and operate the two new semi-high-speed trains.
- “Two new Vande Bharat Express trains will be launched between Jodhpur-Delhi and Bikaner-Delhi,” The Indian Express quoted a senior railway official as saying.
- The Vande Bharat trains are designed to run at a speed of 160 kmph, offering a faster and more convenient option for the passengers.
Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Train: Check Route, Timings
- Of the two new Vande Bharat trains, the Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat train will run between Jodhpur and Delhi Cantt.
- The Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat train will cover the distance between Jodhpur and Delhi Cantt in just eight hours, reducing travel by over an hour.
- The Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat train will depart from Jodhpur at 5:30 AM and arrive at Delhi Cantt at 1:30 AM.
- Its return leg, the Delhi-Jodhpur Vande Bharat train, will leave Delhi at 3:10 PM and reach Jodhpur at 11:15 PM.
- For the convenience of passengers, the train will stop at Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, Gurugram and other key stations.
