Weather News: As the Indian monsoon rages on, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a series of alerts and warnings across the country. In Gujarat and Goa, an 'orange' alert has been issued, indicating the possibility of very heavy rainfall on Friday. Additionally, Maharashtra is also facing an orange alert from July 13 to July 15, anticipating heavy downpours. Meanwhile, the northeast region is bracing for an even more severe situation, with a red alert issued for Meghalaya on Friday.
Maharashtra Weather
Maharashtra is set to experience very heavy rain, with an orange alert in place for five districts - Pune, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Satara. A 'yellow alert' for heavy rain has also been issued for other parts of the state on Friday. The IMD has also issued a Nowcast warning, stating that "intense spells of rain are very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Mumbai during the next 3-4 hours" as of 8 am on July 12.

Gujarat Weather
The IMD has announced an orange alert for certain areas of Gujarat, predicting very heavy rainfall. The rest of the state is also likely to witness thunderstorms and lightning, according to the regional meteorological centre in Ahmedabad.
Konkan And Goa Orange Alert
An orange alert has also been issued in the coastal regions of Konkan and Goa, with Very heavy rainfall, ranging from 115.6 to 204.4 mm, is expected on Friday and this pattern is forecast to continue until July 15.
Uttarakhand Weather
In Uttarakhand, the weather forecasting agency has issued an orange warning for the state, predicting very heavy rainfall on Friday.
Karnataka Weather Till July 15
Additionally, Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka, Gujarat Region and South Interior Karnataka until July 15. An 'orange alert' has been issued for coastal Karnataka for very heavy rainfall from July 13 to 15 and for Saurashtra and Kutch on Friday.
Telangana And Kerala Weather
The states of Telangana, Kerala, Mahe and North Interior Karnataka will also experience isolated heavy rainfall from Friday until July 15. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam will see heavy rain on July 14 and 15, and Rayalaseema on July 15.
Rain In West Bengal, Jharkhand And Odisha
In the northeastern region, fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar and Northeast India. Scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha in the next 5 days.
