There are hardly any women who don’t love putting on nail polish. From traditional reds to contemporary fluorescent ones, nail polishes have been the go-to favourite of women, irrespective of age. Besides, today’s nail art has made a tremendous change in the world of nail beauty. But nail polish does not last forever. The nail paint starts chipping off, which ruins the good looks. The easiest option to get rid of chipped nails is to apply a nail polish remover. But what if you run out of it and have an event to attend the very next moment? Well, not to worry, as we have some DIY hacks with which you can remove nail polish without using a remover.
Removing nail polish with a traditional nail paint remover is challenging. However, it is possible with some common household items. Some women often avoid nail polish remover due to the presence of harsh chemicals like acetone. Acetone can often make the nails, cuticles, and the skin around the nails go red, dry, and flaky. There are several alternatives to removing nail polish from the nails effectively. Here’s a list of five DIY hacks you should know to remove nail paint from your nails without a remover.
5 DIY Solutions To Remove Nail Polish Without A Remover
Toothpaste
To remove nail paint from your nails, all you need to do is rub a little bit of toothpaste on your nails with an old toothbrush. The presence of ethyl acetate in toothpaste, which is also present in polish remover, helps in removing nail polish.
Hand Sanitiser
Using hand sanitiser instead of remover to remove nail polish is an effective DIY hack. Put a little bit of sanitiser on the cotton ball and rub it on the nails. Hand sanitiser contains alcohol, which can help remove nail paint.
Deodorant
Another way to remove nail polish is by using a deodorant. Spray the deodorant on your nails and rub it with the help of a cotton pad. It may take more than one try than the regular removers, but with patience, you can achieve the desired result.
