Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti 2023: Today, October 28, people from all across India are celebrating this special day to commemorate the birth anniversary of the respected author, who was also a poet who wrote the Ramayana, an epic tale of India. According to the Hindu calendar, on the full moon day, or Purnima, in the month of Ashwin, which is typically October, this auspicious day falls, and on this day, people remember the birth of Valmiki and the great impact his epic had on Indian literature and culture.

On the other hand, "Pargat Diwas" is not a well-known Hindu festival. Given that "Pargat Diwas" roughly translates to "emergence day," signifying the birth or emergence of a notable figure like Maharshi Valmiki, it is plausible that it alludes to the same festival of Valmiki Jayanti in some areas.
