Magh Gupt Navratri 2025: Significance
Four Navratri celebrations take place throughout the year, falling in the months of Chaitra, Ashwin, Ashadh and Magh. The Magh month Navratri is specifically known as Magh Gupta Navratri. This celebration commences with the Kalash Sthapna ceremony on the first day, where Maa Durga is worshipped. In Magh Gupt Navratri 2025, devotees will have the opportunity to secretly worship the nine forms of Mother Adi Shakti.
The festival of Navratri holds great significance in Hinduism, and Gupt Navratri is particularly notable. During this time, devotees secretly worship the 10 Mahavidyas of Goddess Mother, seeking her blessings. This practice is considered highly beneficial for the worshippers. By observing Gupt Navratri, devotees can deepen their spiritual connection and receive divine guidance. This sacred celebration offers a unique opportunity for spiritual growth and self-reflection.
Magh Gupt Navratri 2025: Puja Vidhi
The Kalash Sthapana ceremony begins with the placement of a pot in front of Goddess Aadhya Shakti at an auspicious time. The pot contains barley for germination, while a separate kalash with water and a raw coconut is placed alongside. An Akhand Jyoti is then lit in front of Goddess Bhagwati, followed by a series of pujas, including Ganesha Pooja, Varun dev, and Vishnu dev.
The pujas continue with the worship of Shiva, the Sun, Moon and the nine Navagrahas. Finally, Goddess Bhagwati is worshipped, marking the culmination of the ceremony. Throughout the Navratri days, devotees observe a fast and recite the Durga Saptashati and Devi Path, seeking the goddess's blessings and guidance. This sacred ritual is an integral part of the Navratri celebrations.
