Apple 2024 iPad Release Timeline: Apple, a Cupertino-based tech giant, did not launch the much-awaited iPad lineup in India in 2023. But the upgrades are expected to debut in the next year. And TF International securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has shared peculiar details about the upcoming tablets. Among the top upgrades include the M3 processor and OLED screens on select models. For a detailed glimpse, here are product-wise details leaked by Kuo.

Apple iPad Air 2024

The Apple analyst claims the two iPad Air versions - 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch have been slated for production in the first quarter of 2024. The bigger model will offer an "Oxide backplane," similar to the mini-LED iPad Pro, and may deliver better performance than the smaller model.

The next-gen OLED Pro models will swap the mini-LED and will likely enter production in the second quarter. They will have an M3 chip and an improved design. This panel will reportedly have LTPO backplanes (like the iPhone 15 Pro models) that may offer improved power consumption and better display quality. Kuo added that these models could witness a price rise.

iPad Mini And iPad 11th Gen 2024

The production of the 2024 iPad mini will likely get "delayed to 2H24" against the earlier prediction of the first quarter of next year. Plus, the iPad 11th gen is expected to enter the mass production stage during a similar time frame. As a result, the 9th Gen model may witness discontinuation by the end of 2024.

The debut timeline of next-gen iPad models in 2024 was shared by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman previously. He claims that the lower models could witness a launch in March next year. The iPad Air and iPad mini could have M2 and A16 Bionic processors. You can read more about Gurman's prediction here.
