GOOGLE, a California-based technology company that is known for its Pixel series all over the world has officially announced the debut of next-generation mid-range Google Pixel 7a in India on May 11. Interestingly, the date announced is just a day after Google’s annual developer event known as Google I/O 2023.

Taking to the social media handle the company has announced that the phone would be available on the e-commerce platform Flipkart starting from May 11. Taking to Twitter, it wrote, “How to show excitement without shouting? Asking for a friend Coming to @Flipkart on 11th May”.

However, the smartphone has already been leaked, and Google has also shown a glimpse of the smartphone in the form of a poster. The smartphone may come in a sky blue colour and have the same camera bump as Google's own design language. Furthermore, the poster suggests that the smartphone will have a dual camera. According to the report, the smartphone will be available in black, white, and sky-blueish colour. It will be interesting to see how many colour options are available in India.

Another thing to keep an eye on is the pricing, as Google's 'a' series is already known for its mid-range prices. The Pixel 6a was released for Rs 43,999, and the report suggests that the Pixel 7a will be released for Rs 49,999.

The Google Pixel 7a is expected to have a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED screen with an improved refresh rate panel of 90 Hz. It is also expected to be powered by Tensor G2 with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

In terms of optics, the smartphone is expected to have a 64 MP primary camera and a 12 MP Sony IMX712 secondary camera. However, no official announcements about specifications or hardware have been made by the company.
