GOOGLE, a California-based technology company known for providing many services using its different platforms, always works on updates that help the user experience better. In a new update, the company has added a new feature that would allow Google Meet users to co-present the slides for multiple people.
This new function will make it unnecessary to ask a colleague to advance to the following slide in a presentation, resulting in less interruption and smoother transitions. According to the business, this will also help close the gap between people who work from different places. According to the company, this feature is currently being rolled out and will become more widely available in the upcoming weeks.
"You can assign participants to co-present Slides with you as the primary presenter." "As a co-presenter, you can see the audience, presentation, and Slides controls all in one window, navigate the presentation, and start and stop media within the presentation," Google explained in a blog post.
The presenter who is presenting in a meeting on Google Meet using Google Slides will see an option to Add a co-presenter after the update. With this, the company also promises a wider roll out of the update in the coming future.
Meanwhile, the company has also introduced a new feature using which the presenter can switch the individual feeds in Google Meet in order to make a smoother presentation without any distractions. The company’s blog post also mentions that no user will get any type of notification or alert that the presenter has turned off the video feed.
The company aims to help the presenters focus more on the meeting view and the slides without any distractions.
