Pixel 9 Launch Event Expectations: Google is all set to spice up the AI smartphone market with the launch of the Pixel 9 series on August 13. The India launch date of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold is confirmed for August 14. Beyond the two, the Pixel 9 Pro XL was spotted on a Flipkart microsite. Plus, the company may unveil the Pixel Watch 3 series (possibly a new 'XL' model) and the Pixel Buds Pro 2.

Apart from the hardware, the company could showcase the new Android 15 and enhanced Gemini AI capabilities at the event. For a better idea, here are all the products you can expect from Made By Google 2024.

Google Pixel 9 Launch Event 2024: What To Expect

Google Pixel 9 Series: The Pixel 9 lineup may include four models: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. These may offer a Tensor G4 chipset and a range of Google AI features. While the Pixel 9 may offer 12GB RAM, other models could get 16 RAM. Pixel 9 may get a 6.3-inch screen, 50MP + 48MP rear and a 10.5MP selfie shooter.

Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL may get a 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch screen, respectively. As for the optics, these may sport a 50MP + 48MP ultrawide + 48MP telephoto rear and a 42MP front camera. Pixel 9 Pro Fold may sport a 48MP + 10.5MP ultrawide + 10.8MP telephoto rear and a 10MP selfie camera. It may have a 6.3-inch cover and an 8-inch main screen.

The models could offer seven years of software support and ship with one year of Gemini Advanced subscription. In India, the Pixel 9 series will be available on Flipkart. The successor to the Pixel Fold will be Google's first official entry into the foldable segment in India. Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro successors will debut with flat sides and an oblong-shaped camera module.

Pixel Watch 3 Series: The Pixel Watch 3 lineup may debut in two screen sizes (41mm and 45mm). These may bring higher brightness at 2,000nits. The lineup may offer 24 hours of battery life with always-on feature. The rumoured 'XL' variant could place Google in a better position to take on Samsung and Apple in the smartwatch segment.

Pixel Buds Pro 2: While the specifications of the TWS are undercover, the upcoming Google Pixel Buds could arrive in four colours: Charcoal, Porcelain, Aloe and Hot Pink. Buyers can expect meaningful upgrades in sound and battery life. Besides conventional features such as ANC, it may offer AI integration to improve the experience.

Android 15: In beta trials right now, the event could be the day for the new Android 15's stable release. It may arrive with Private Space, App Archiving, Theft Detection Lock and more features. The rumour mill claims the Pixel 9 series will launch with Android 14 and receive Android 15 via an OTA update after launch. However, this could be a getaway from Google's history.

Gemini AI: Google is said to brand its renewed push towards AI under the "Google AI" banner. The new AI features may include "Add Me" to add people in group photos, "Pixel Screenshots" to capture key details from screengrabs and a host of other AI features. These could include image editing and text enhancements. The company may also showcase a new AI-powered Weather app at the event.
