Valentine's Day 2024: Amid the rush around February 14, a new dating app is gaining limelight which is all set to launch on Valentine's Day in the United States. 'Score' dating platform will cater to people having a "good to excellent" credit score, according to BNN Breaking. The move is all set to mark focus on financial transparency and responsibilities.
The report noted that the furore around credit ratings on dating apps rose to fame after a lady in Boston posted her credit score on her Hinge account. A nice credit rating could be among the reasons to view the reliability and the responsible nature of a match in online dating. A good rating will imply that the user has a responsible record of borrowing and repaying the loan amount.
Score, "the dating app for people with good credit," will require users to pass the Equifax credit check and have a credit score of 675+. However, other Score users will not be shown this credit point. According to the official website of the platform, "research has shown that people with high credit scores are more likely to form committed relationships here."
While it offers a range of positives, critics might argue it will exclude people with a low credit score who might have other qualities to be eligible on a typical dating platform. Plus the credit score will not be a correct sign to gauge the wealth of a user because other factors such as investments, savings and income are also equally representative of the financial health, the report noted.
Even with these limitations, Score is all set to open the gates for financial awareness in the love exploration process online. Plus, if financial matters are discussed openly, this will reduce the risk of conflicts relating to money in the future.
