Apple iPhone 18 Pro: A new leak is giving iPhone fans plenty to chew on. A recently shared video claims to reveal the full design and several key hardware changes planned for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro. The video comes from well-known tipster Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech and offers a detailed walkthrough of what could be Apple’s next design shift, covering everything from the display and cameras to internal upgrades and colour options.

One of the most noticeable changes appears on the front. Apple has stuck with the pill-shaped cutout for years, but this could finally be getting a rethink. According to the leak, Apple may move some Face ID components under the display, shrinking the visible cutout down to a single hole. Even more interesting is the placement of the selfie camera, which is shown sitting at the top-left corner instead of the centre. That alone would give the iPhone a very different look compared to previous models.
Despite this shift, Dynamic Island isn’t going anywhere. Prosser claims Apple plans to keep it but reposition it to the top-left corner along with the front camera. The goal seems to be making it feel less dominant while still supporting live activities and system animations. In short, Dynamic Island stays, just in a subtler form.

Around back, the camera system could see a more meaningful upgrade. According to the leak, Apple is at least testing a variable aperture for the main camera, letting the lens manually control how much light the camera takes in, which could allow for more natural portraits and generally better low-light shots. This could only be on the iPhone 18 Pro Max, at least at the beginning.
There could also be a small but noticeable change to physical controls. Apple might replace the capacitive camera button with a pressure-based one for a more tactile and predictable feel during the shooting of photos and videos.
Internally, the biggest bound may come from the new A20 Pro chip. The iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to utilise Apple's next-generation silicon, built possibly on TSMC's 2nm process. More interestingly, Apple is said to be integrating RAM directly onto the same wafer as the CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine. This could improve performance, boost efficiency, and help with heat management, especially for on-device AI features. Early estimates point to meaningful gains, though it's still too early to be certain.
Another major change could be the switch to Apple’s in-house C2 modem, marking another step away from third-party suppliers.
Display size is expected to remain at 6.3 inches for the iPhone 18 Pro, while the Pro Max variant could feature a larger battery. Colour options may also get bolder, with burgundy, brown, and purple reportedly under consideration.

As always, these details come from early leaks, and Apple’s final plans could change. If the timeline holds, the iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to arrive in September 2026, with the standard iPhone 18 possibly following later. For now, this leak offers an intriguing preview, but it’s best taken with a pinch of salt.
