JE Technology Desk: Twitter is back after a brief outage. Thousands of users in India as '#TwitterDown' continues to trend at Fifth place (at 9:25 PM today) on the micro-blogging app with around 4,000 fresh tweets. According to Downdetector, an outage tracking website, the disruption peaked at around 7:50 PM with 600+ reports in India (and 2,700+ in the United States). Twitter has not issued an official statement on this officially.

(UPDATE: Twitter is back after the outage and is working fine.)

Among the affected users in the country, around 59 per cent are having issues with the app, 31 per cent are encountering problems with the website, and 10 per cent are facing server connection issues. The error message on the app reads: "Cannot retrieve Tweets at this time. Please try again later."

According to Mirror Now, the outage affected both Android and iOS users. This error did not let users access the timeline of the app. However, the outage reports in India (at 10:00 PM) declined to six and 50 disruption reports in the United States.

Users have been flocking to the microblogging platform to share hilarious reactions, which is gradually igniting a meme fest on the app. "Twitter being down today feels like the world telling us to go to space and actually interact with aliens," a user said.

This is the second time Twitter has witnessed a massive outage. The app also underwent service disruption on July 1 when users reported about 'Rate Limit Exceeded' prompt on the app. The next day Twitter owner Elon Musk announced the imposition of post reading limits for verified and unverified subscribers to restrict data scrapping by AI companies as a temporary measure.
