Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone maker, announced the new HyperOS software in October this year. The OS packs major changes in features, in-built apps and other UI-based enhancements. In the latest move, the company has announced the global rollout of the ROM for select Xiaomi and POCO smartphones. According to an official post from the X handle of Xiaomi HyperOS, the company highlighted eight devices in which HyperOS is rolling out.

According to @XiaomiHyperOS_, the OTA update will start rolling out "gradually", and users can experience new features. The company said users can share feedback from the "Services and feedback" section. The account noted the plan for other Redmi and POCO models will be announced later.

HyperOS Device List

The list of devices (in the first phase) includes Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13T Pro, Xiaomi 13T, Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12S, and Xiaomi Pad 6. "Release plans for other models will be announced with this account at a later date," the account noted. Xiaomi's sub-brand POCO also shared that the HyperOS update is now rolling for POCO F5 users.

Xiaomi HyperOS: How To Update

Users can open the 'Settings' app on their phone. From here, head to the 'About phone' section, tap on the MIUI version and then tap 'Check for updates' at the bottom. Do note the stated devices have a 'release plan of Q1 2024'. Hence, you may have to wait for a while before the update is ready for installation.

HyperOS Features

The company has said that HyperOS offers smoother animations, faster load times, and better background app management, 91Mobiles reported. Apart from the minor tweaks, the company has also added diverse lock screen customisations. There are also a range of AI-based enhancements for text generation, retrieving text from images and converting doodles into paintings.

The ROM also offers mobile data transmission to other devices via the smartphone and allows viewing notifications from other devices. You can also use your smartphone camera as a webcam in HyperOS. Head to this report to learn more about the OS.
