Pakistani drama channels have an enormous fan base across India and Pakistan. Classic shows like Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Humsafar, and Tere Bin hugely contributed to the craze of Pakistani dramas. However, the recent ban of 16 Pakistani drama channels on YouTube is considered a major turning point in the cross-border digital entertainment dynamic. Why Pakistani Drama Channels On YouTube Are Banned?
The Indian government banned Pakistani YouTube channels for spreading misinformation, disseminating inflammatory and communally sensitive material, and promoting false propaganda against India, its Army, and security organisations. The decision is part of diplomatic and security steps taken by the Indian Government after the brutal Pahalgam terror attack. The Government of India has also suspended visas of Pakistani nationals and has sealed border transit points.

1. Dawn News
Dawn News is a 24-hour Urdu news channel based in Karachi. It is owned by Pakistan Herald Publications Limited. While primarily a news outlet, it also covers social issues often intersected with drama content, which makes it influential among viewers interested in current affairs and cultural narratives. The YouTube channel has around 1.96 million subscribers.
2. Irshad Bhatti
