To ease the waiting list burden for passengers returning after the Independence Day and Janmashtami festivals, the Northern Railway’s Lucknow Division will operate two special trains — one to Delhi and another to Chandigarh.

According to officials, train number 04207 Lucknow–New Delhi Special will depart from Lucknow on Sunday, 17 August, at 9:10 pm. It will reach Shahjahanpur at 12:10 am, Bareilly at 1:12 am, Moradabad at 2:55 am, Ghaziabad at 5:20 am, and arrive in New Delhi at 6:20 am.

On its return journey, the train will depart New Delhi on 18 August at 10:45 am and reach Lucknow at 8:00 pm. The service will include general, sleeper, and AC coaches.

The second service, train number 04206 Varanasi–Chandigarh Special, will depart Varanasi on Saturday, 16 August, at 2:50 pm. It will reach Lucknow via Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh Junction and Rae Bareli at 8:20 pm, departing again at 8:30 pm for Chandigarh. The train will pass through Bareilly, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Yamuna Nagar, Jagadhri, and Ambala Cantt, arriving in Chandigarh at 7:45 am the next day.

For the return journey, train number 04205 Chandigarh–Varanasi Special will depart from Chandigarh on 17 August at 9:30 am, reach Lucknow at 8:05 pm, and arrive in Varanasi at 1:20 am.
