In a shocking incident reported from the Govindpuram area of Ghaziabad, the eight-year-old son of a female police officer was allegedly confined in a room and brutally assaulted by a female neighbour.

The Incident

The incident occurred around 5:30 PM on Wednesday evening while the child was playing in the car park of his society in Govindnagar. Following a dispute between children, the accused neighbour, identified as Preeti, allegedly intimidated the boy, grabbed his hand and forcibly took him to her residence.

It is alleged that after sending her own children outside, Preeti bolted the door from the inside and mercilessly beat the victim. Reports state she attacked the child's head with sticks, resulting in a severe gash.

Rescue And Aftermath

The child's father rushed downstairs after hearing screams. Other children playing in the area informed him that the neighbour had taken his son. Upon reaching the woman’s house, the father witnessed the assault and rescued his son, who was found covered in blood. The sight of the severely injured child caused the father to panic.

Police Action

A complaint was immediately filed at the Kavinagar police station. ACP Kavinagar, Suryabali Maurya, confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused woman. The police have initiated action against her for breach of peace in connection with the assault.
