Residents of Antariksh Golf View-2 Society in Sector 78, Noida, have raised concerns after facing persistent water shortages for the past three months. In September alone, 72 lakh litres of water were supplied via 306 tankers over 27 days, amounting to Rs 5.85 lakh in bills, which the builder attempted to recover from flat owners.
Fed up with the situation, residents submitted a written complaint to the authorities. A team led by Senior Water Manager Ashok Verma and JE Anil Verma inspected the society and found significant shortcomings.
The builder had not provided adequate water connections for 450 families, supplying water through low-capacity connections. Additionally, the water pipeline installed was of four-inch diameter instead of the required five-inch, further limiting supply.
Authorities have directed the builder to provide water connections according to the population and flat numbers by November 30. A notice will also be issued to ensure compliance. Meanwhile, residents have refused to pay for water tankers, citing the builder’s failure to provide proper connections.
