Students from schools and universities across Uttar Pradesh, are set to lead a public awareness campaign focused on environmental protection. Organised by the state government, the campaign will feature street plays, puppet shows, rallies, competitions, and training programs to raise awareness and sensitivity towards environmental issues. Street plays will depict the harmful effects of plastic waste on rivers, while puppet shows will engage audiences of all ages. 

Eco-friendly exhibitions will be organised at local fairs. School children will play a key role in the campaign, participating in poster competitions centered around nature themes and speech competitions focusing on reducing plastic use at home. Quizzes on environmental topics will be conducted, with winners receiving eco-friendly gifts.

The campaign will utilise various media platforms, including radio, television, and the internet, to disseminate messages about environmental protection, showcasing examples like river revival through plastic elimination. 

Uttar Pradesh Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister, Dr Arun Kumar Saxena, stated that the campaign will be conducted extensively across the state, coupled with large-scale tree planting initiatives to combat rising temperatures due to pollution.
