Delhi Viral Video: Man Allegedly Snatches Woman’s Phone Inside Crowded Bus; Delhiites Blame ‘Lack Of Security’

Delhi Viral Video: Travelling in a crowded public bus, especially in Delhi, has turned into an invitation to some of the pettiest crimes from the past few months. Several cases of chain and phone snatchers to pickpockets have surfaced online, leaving authorities under the scanner over public security. Adding another incident to the list, a new video came forward, where a man allegedly snatched a woman passenger’s phone from inside a Delhi bus. The bus was seemingly jam-packed, giving the man enough time to run away before the victim could follow him.

Regardless, as soon as the incident unfolded, the woman began to chase the man down. The date and the exact location of the matter could not be confirmed. The clip left people complaining about the ‘lack of security’ in Delhi buses.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘DELHIBUSES1’. The post was captioned, “The snatchers have now left the roads and have started snatching in Delhi buses. Delhi buses are more unsafe than the roads of Delhi. Neither the conductor nor the driver nor the male passengers are safe on the bus. And women are facing the most insecurity #Delhi.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled more than 10K views from people.

The video, soon after getting shared, began to circulate on social media. Most people were irked over the lack of security in buses, while the rest blamed the Governments for such incidents and the ‘lack of actions’ by authorities.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “This is the failure of the Delhi government. The Delhi government always keeps whining that they are not going to see all this,” a user said. “This theft could have been avoided if the marshal had been standing at the stand instead of in the bus,” pointed out the second user.

“When we have weak #JudicialSystem and Law & Order, this results in giving opportunity to criminals to commit crimes openly without fear,” added the third person. “There is a government of two parties in Delhi, still this is the situation. Such bold hand hygiene in the country's capital/ Wow, what genius miscreants who defeated both the governments,” added another.
