Viral Video: In a gruesome road accident that left people with a chill down their spine while also sympathising with victims, took place in Maharashtra's Kolhapur on Monday, June 03. A car driver, who was reportedly a 72-year-old man, allegedly got a heart attack while driving his car, which led to him losing control of his vehicle. As soon as the car went out of control, it caught speed and rammed into the traffic, reportedly resulting in the death of 2 others and injuring 6. The elderly, who lost control of the vehicle, was reportedly the former pro-vice chancellor of the Shivaji University, Dr V M Chavan. Meanwhile, the other two victims were aged 16 and 24.
As per reports, the incident unfolded at the Cyber Chowk in Kolhapur. The accident was captured on the CCTV camera that was installed nearby. A video of the same was also shared online, which went viral.
As soon as the tragedy unfolded, people rushed in to help victims. The police were also called at the spot.
The video received a whole lot of reaction from netizens. Most were shocked over the accident and speculated the reasons, while the rest pointed out about the car driver getting a heart attack.
The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘priyarajputlive’. The post was captioned, “A speeding car crushed four people in Kolhapur. Two people died on the spot and three were seriously injured.” The post was shared yesterday and pulled 53K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “@Dev_Fadnavis. My brother, every day some road accident happens, this means that the system you have created is not working properly. There is a great need to improve the system now. Please pay attention to this and change the system. You are the Home Minister and the public expects you to work on this,” a user said.
“As per reports car driver had a heart attack and died while driving,” pointed out a second person. “Road design is wrong there should be a circle and light,” added a third user. “The driver was a retired VC and got a heart attack. He died too,” added a fourth person. “The driver of this car has already died due to a heart attack,” added another.
