Gone are the days when offices used to be somewhat about meeting work friends as well. Chipping in Artificial Intelligence as the new replacement, a man’s post about lauding ‘ChatGPT’ as a ‘coworker’ went viral. Apart from calling AI the ‘best coworker’, the man also referred to his human colleagues as ‘idiots’. However, surprisingly enough, the man’s unique take ended up gaining major support after a bunch of netizens, who agreed with him and shared their similar stories and views. The post went viral almost instantly.

The post was shared on Reddit, by the Redditor ‘satanismysponsor’. The post’s title read, “Chat GPT is my only good coworker.” Whereas the post’s description read, “I work in a corporate setting and run my own department. I work with a bunch of f**king idiots. Most of them don't or don't want to do their job. Before Chat GPT I dreaded certain parts of my day. Now Chat GPT is the best coworker I have. I have actually come to enjoy coming into work now and creating custom GPTs to do the job of about 8 people. I drive to work now thinking about how much fun I will have with GPT and the quality of work I will be able to deliver. It makes me look like a rockstar. I don't have people in my life that understand or use GPT so I just wanted to get it off my chest.”

The post went viral, soon after getting shared. Most people found the man’s take relatable, while the rest shared their own experiences about using AI and ChatGPT at their work. The post was shared two days ago and pulled 2.1K upvotes from people.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “I work in information management. I’ve been using it to automate certain aspects of my work by having it write Python scripts and telling it in normal English what those scripts should be doing. I used to ask a colleague these questions. But ChatGPT delivers what I need in seconds where my colleague would have needed half a day or more. I do feel a little bad for my colleague though,” a user said.

“I’m going to be in the same boat soon, but minus the idiot coworkers. I’ll be running the grant-seeking at my nonprofit entirely by myself since my supervisor is being laid off. GPT makes me feel a little less alone,” added a second person. “I think we should reduce the work hours for every worker and get the money after taxing Ai. This is because AI is only effective and uses the published information of others for free,” wrote a third person.
