Viral Video: Breaking and burning TVs and screens after a match between India and Pakistan, by fans of the losing team has been a type of ‘ritual’ for far too long. However, it seems like the same ‘ritual’ now has an upgrade, or so was believed by Desis, who were reacting to a video of a Pakistani fan. The said video of the fan went viral, where he was allegedly seen attempting to set himself on fire. As per the post, the move was over Pakistan getting defeated by India. As soon as the clip was shared, people began to react and most called it scripted.
Many dubbed it an upgrade, saying that Pakistani fans were moving on to ‘setting themselves on fire’ from ‘breaking and burning TVs’.
For those unfamiliar, India defeated Pakistan during a T20 World Cup match, that was held on June 09. The match was fairly tight as the country won by just 6 runs.
The post was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Umairiology’. The post was captioned, “Team India just failed us in NYC. I can't! #PakvsInd.” The video was shared on June 09 and pulled more than 9K views from people.
