Viral Video: Despite it being the correct thing to do, speaking up for oneself in India, is often not considered that great of an idea, especially if it’s against any kind of authority. Experiencing somewhat the same, a man shared a video, where he was seen arguing and questioning some Delhi traffic cops. The reason behind the man’s cross-questioning, as per the clip, was that the cops were allegedly trying to seize his car for no ‘valid reason’.
As per the man in the viral post, he had everything, from the licence to the vehicle’s papers. However, the cops still looked adamant in trying to seize the car. Towards the end of the video, the man was heard apologising to the cops. The date and the exact location of the incident could not be confirmed.
The video, soon after getting shared, went viral and left people reacting. Most chastised the behaviour the traffic cops displayed, while the rest suggested the man simply pay the fine next time, to avoid such conflicts. Many also recalled their own stories of being ‘harassed’ by traffic cops.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘RAVIYAD09843632’. The video was shared yesterday and pulled several views.

Taking to the internet, people shared their take. “Is this the same singer whose video of Sidhu's song went viral?” a user said. “Arey Gurgaon ago is se Badia milega (You should come to Gurgaon, you will better than this),” added a second person. “You could have paid Rs 200 and left, there would have been no conflict,” added a third person.
“All this is just a way to extort money, so what if there is a police, if he does something wrong then action should be taken against him,” commented a fourth person. “Delhi Traffic Police is immensely abusive of its powers. If you are a new driver in their territory, they’ll rip u off like anything before you realise you have been mugged by the Police itself,” added a fifth user.
