Viral Video: Probably one of the biggest scams, as per how the internet reacted to this video going viral, seems to be happening in multiple railway stations across the country. The said video was recorded in the Guwahati Railway Station, where a shopkeeper was allegedly selling snacks for a price more than the mentioned MRP on the packet. As soon as the cameraperson realised it, he began to confront the shopkeeper, while also recording his reaction. The two were seen indulging in a verbal spat, after which the shopkeeper took the snacks back and returned the money to the customer. Narrating the incident on the camera, the consumer continued to record the shopkeeper and his shop.

At one point, the shopkeeper was also seen trying to attack the cameraperson’s phone with the aim of stopping the recording. As soon as the incident went viral, people were left irked and dubbed such scams common in most railway stations and bus stations. The date of the incident could not be confirmed.

The post was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘seriousfunnyguy’. The post was captioned, “All items at the railway station are sold at MRP only. This video is from platform number 3 of Guwahati railway station. The license of this shop should be cancelled as soon as possible. @RailMinIndia. RT Maximum!” The post was shared yesterday and pulled 343K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “@AshwiniVaishnaw and @RailMinIndia will ignore you as we ignore pollution in Delhi,” a user said. “@nerailwaygkp kindly look at this video and take appropriate action,” added a second person. “And just see the arrogance of this guy. Practically almost all stations in east coast railways sell Rail Neer water bottles for Rs-20/- until and unless you argue with them they won’t give you back your Rs5/- back,” added a third person.

“Just for your information, this happens all over India. All railway station shops over charged and no one wants to do anything,” added a fourth user. “His license should be cancelled immediately @AshwiniVaishnaw,” added a fifth person. “@AshwiniVaishnaw ji kindly please address such grievances of the public,” added another.
