World Cup 2023: India’s second match at World Cup 2023 opposite Afghanistan was as thrilling as it can be. Fans were excited to witness the unfolding of the iconic rivalry between ace Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Afghanistan’s Naveen-Ul-Haq. However, it was a welcome change when the two cricketers showed that they have buried the hatchet and moved on from their fight. For the unversed, the rivalry goes back to IPL 2023, where the two had a huge fight during a RBC vs LSG match. After the brawl, Haq began to mock Kohli by posting posts on mangoes whenever Kohli or his team hit a rough patch. As the rivalry kept on escalating, fans were eagerly waiting for Kohli to play against Haq with hopes that their favourite ‘King Kohli’ would show a good game against Naveen.

India won its second match in this year's World Cup tournament against Afghanistan by 8 wickets. The country won its first match against Australia on October 08 by 6 wickets. Its third, and probably one of the most awaited matches, India vs Pakistan, will be held on October 14 in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. This is the 13th edition of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, where 48 matches will be played. The India-hosted tournament began on October 05 and will culminate on November 19.

As far as Kohli And Naveen's rivalry is concerned, Lucknow Super Giants, for which the Afghanistani player played, did not step back in showing its support to Kohli with the mantra of ‘ country first’ in mind. Taking to the social media site X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, the official handle shared a post on mangoes and captioned it, “Aaj (Today).”

The post instantly went viral as people started reacting to it. Many people were quick to connect the dots and pointed out that the admin of Lucknow Super Giants was not supporting its own player to which they clarified by commenting "Country first”.

Taking to social media, people also shared hilarious memes and reactions on the Viral-Naveen rivalry, where the Indian netizens were quick to take Kohli’s side.
